Active Transportation
On April 15, 2023 Altona Community Action Network (ACAN), in partnership with Green Action Centre, hosted an Earth Day event centered around Active Transportation (AT). At this event, a survey was distributed to initiate a conversation with people in the Town of Altona about active transportation.
The survey was available to people in hard copies and online; it ran from April 15 to July 30, 2023. 97 responses were collected with several hundred specific comments about AT in Altona. From these responses a report was put together in an effort to improve AT in our community.

Altona has already done some of this work, but there is so much more to be done. ACAN is looking forward to ongoing participation in the process by continuing to engage with and organizing community efforts as well as working with the Town of Altona to help create a cleaner, healthier and more sustainable future for Altona.
